Most of the photographs on this site are available for sale, and most are available in a number of different sizes.
You can buy prints direct from me in person (please use the contact details at the top of this page to arrange a meeting) or online via Photo Succession, my gallery which you can find at www.photosuccession.co.uk.
All prints purchased online are backed by my 100% money back guarantee, so if you don’t like the print for any reason then simply return it to me for a full refund (see here for details). I’m very pleased to say that I’ve never had to issue a refund.
Limited Edition Prints
Most of my photographs (and all of my nudes) are made with large format film cameras. I make platinum prints from the original film negatives in limited editions of twenty five plus up to three artist’s proofs. When I make a platinum print from a digital capture I decide on the natural size for the print (usually 10″x15″), and then make this as a limited edition of twenty five plus up to three artist’s proofs.
A typical limited edition print from a 10″x8″ negative will be made on a 18″x15″ sheet of Buxton paper.
From time to time I may create special limited editions of enlarged prints. These will usually be very small editions. Please contact me for further details.
Open Edition Prints
I offer open edition platinum prints in addition to my limited editions. These are made with digital negatives derived from the original film negative.
Open edition prints are typically smaller than the equivalent limited edition print. For example, an open edition print derived from a 10”x8” negative will typically be approximately 8”x6”. They are typically made on Arches Platine and dry mounted to conservation board. This gives them a very different look and feel to limited edition prints.
It is important to me that as many people as possible can enjoy owning original artwork. I have therefore priced my open editions at a level which keeps them accessible.
Seconds
From time to time I have prints which have small amounts of wear and tear from handling, but are otherwise good. Please contact me if you would like to know if I have any of these available.
Technical Notes
All my prints are handmade. As such each print will be subtly different from every other one in the edition. This variability ensures that your print will be unique, but it also means that it may not exactly match the images shown on this website.
Additionally, it is important to some collectors that they understand the specifics of the printing process used when making a print. In this context it is worth noting that most of my platinum prints have palladium in the coating mixture. The exact ratio of platinum to palladium varies, but is typically between 2:1 and 1:1.
I am very happy to discuss the specifics of the process I use, and explain the creative and technical decisions I have made. Please contact me for further information.
