Collecting My Photographs
I make each of my photographs as a platinum print in my darkroom. I print them myself, by hand, from the original film or glass-plate negative.
Platinum prints have a distinctive matt surface and a subtle tonal range. Because I coat and print each sheet individually, no two prints are exactly alike. Small variations in tone and surface are part of the handmade nature of the work.
Limited Editions
I make my photographs in limited editions of five or eight prints. Each print is signed and numbered and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

Print Formats
The image size of each print is determined by the size of the original negative, i.e. an 8×10-inch print requires an 8×10-inch negative. I work principally with three formats.
8 × 10-inch: Most of my photographs are made from 8 × 10-inch negatives. These prints are large enough to have a physical presence while retaining the intimacy that I value in my work. They are well suited to being displayed individually or in groups.
Prices start at CHF 700.
4 × 5 inch or 5 × 7-inch (half plate) : These smaller prints are intended for close or personal viewing. They are well suited to being displayed in groups, or individually in the right space.
Prices start at CHF 320.
11 × 14-inch: A number of my photographs are from 11 × 14 inch negatives. These prints are well suited to being displayed on their own. They have greater physical presence while retaining the character of my smaller work.
Prices start at CHF 1,200.
